On You

A filmy feeling of beer and freedom nets my body like a silk casing

I see you vaguely

You whose company is like cool fruit punch in         June,

wet lips by the pool.

Touch me like a reflection

without remorse

and detached from external expectations.

I see us vaguely

Thin ankles and strong bones that merge        bodies

as unique as our minds.

So that we might make ourselves

palpable

to those who feign interest in such fleshy realities.

Let us kiss each other's bodies and act as children do,

chasing clouds, playing doctor and

breathing light.

Let me kiss the tiny parts of you

that have         no name,

And may every living thing make us

smile.
